Maggie Nelson's Bluets changed me this winter. It kept me warm, it kept me intrigued, and it inspired me to think about winter, color, and all matters of the heart in unique and dynamic ways. This light catcher is simple. It's not only a nod to the book, but also to bluets- the flower- of which the book is named after. A 30 mm prism creates large rainbow spectacles in the sun, and with her she carries a single, vintage, iridescent flower bead and budding from it, an additional iridescent bead, shaded in blue and gold. Much like a bluet, she is small yet mesmerizing to look at- especially in the sun.
